Altering history ...

OK, so I'm not really that good at Photoshop and usually frown heavily on activities like this but ... my brother is getting married and he and his betrothed wanted a special image for their custom stamps.

Here's the source material. On the left her great grandparents and on the right my great grandfather, John Cockburn
Step one ... extract both from their backgrounds:
Fine except that she's facing the wrong way and is too big, easily fixed
Final size adjust and bring them together - then I find out the USPS doesn't like weapons on their stamps.
		... delete the sword, create a toe and some kilt and that's it.
